About Palmer Square Park

Palmer Square Park is the heart of our neighborhood, offering 7.69 acres of green space for the Logan Square Community. Known for its unique history, tree diversity, and imaginative Velveteen Rabbit-inspired playground, the park represents a haven for residents and visitors.

Historical Significance
Palmer Square has a storied past as part of Chicago’s historic boulevard system. Once home to the Schwinn Mansion, built by Ignaz Schwinn (founder of Schwinn Bicycles), the park reflects a deep connection to Chicago’s history and culture. Learn more here.

Distinction Between HAPS and PAC
HAPS focuses on advocating for park preservation and supporting homeowner interests around Palmer Square. Public programming and events in the park, such as Live on Logan, are organized by the Palmer Square Park Advisory Council (PAC). HAPS supports these hallmark events through donations and encourages residents to participate.
